Our Vision

We believe every child should have the opportunity to live life to the fullest! Our vision is for Nw Pasadena to be a safe and vibrant community, where children and youth can fulfill their potential in all areas of their lives.

How doe we do this?

We provide integrated and varied services for children and youth to inspire transformation in their community.

It is a three-fold approach that seeks to build a web of success for children. Our research leads us to focus on these components:

Blast Off: This is an education and enrichment program that develops a love of learning in childen through mentoring and exloration of various learning styles. Children are introduced to computers, reading with tutors and kinesthetic learning activities. During the school year this takes place on Saturday mornings. It is a daily program for 6 weeks in the summer.

Parents: Oasis recognizes research that shows teh importance parental involvment in the development of children. We periodically visit children at their homes to encourage and resource their primary care giver.

Schools: Children spend much of their time in schools. Schools in NW Pasadena have struggled with low test scores. We seek to work with our students in their school context as way to support both the children as well as the teachers and administration. We recognize the important role the school system has in the development of children.
